"When we moved to the North Shore we really wanted to join a club that would offer something for our whole family.  We also wanted to feel a part of a community.  The members of Kernwood have been so wonderful and we have established some amazing friendships.  With three kids under 5, it is wonderful to have the pool and the BBQ’s for family time.  And when the two of us escape for nine holes, it is just a treat.  The course is both beautiful and quite challenging and you cannot beat the water views!”

“While the club is close to my home in  Marblehead, I did not know any members.  My main goal was to meet a group of men of similar age and ability and play a lot of golf on weekend mornings.  I was concerned that it would be cliquish or hard to break into groups or find games.  I was assured that would not be the case and folks would welcome new players.  That has been even more true than promised.  The Sat and Sun 7:30-9:30 for primary members off the front and back means there are a lot of games every weekend.  The pro shop was helpful.  The email advance notice and email member list helped a lot.”

“I was a little concerned about joining Kernwood because, as a single woman, I did not know whether I would find enough golf partners.  My fears were unfounded; not only was I included in golf outings but in social events as well.  The Tuesday morning women's league is also a great way to golf with new people.  My only regret is that I did not join Kernwood sooner!”
